Discover our kollel, our vision, and our journey
Beit Midrash Taharot was founded out of a deep recognition of the need to revive the study of Seder Taharot, which has been relatively neglected over the generations. The founders, distinguished Jerusalem scholars, envisioned a Beit Midrash where dozens of avrechim would study these tractates with depth and mastery.
Since its founding, the kollel has grown into one of the leading centers of learning in this field. The avrechim who study here specialize in the complex sugyot of Seder Taharot, and many have become recognized authorities in the subject.
Today, Beit Midrash Taharot numbers over forty avrechim learning in three daily sessions, serving as a vibrant Torah center in the heart of Jerusalem.
Key moments in our journey
Beit Midrash Taharot opened with ten founding avrechim in a modest room in Jerusalem's Har Nof neighborhood, with a grand vision to revive the study of Seder Taharot.
As the number of avrechim grew, the kollel moved to a larger facility with a spacious study hall and a rich Torah library.
The avrechim completed multiple tractates in full, and several published Torah novellae and books on Seder Taharot that received wide acclaim.
Today the kollel has over 40 avrechim with a comprehensive study program and daily shiurim. It is recognized as a leading center for Seder Taharot study in Israel.
The principles that guide Beit Midrash Taharot
We believe in thorough, foundational study that builds complete understanding of each sugya from its roots to its detailed halachic applications.
Precision in learning is a supreme value. Our avrechim focus on clarifying every detail, committed to Torah truth.
The kollel encourages constant personal and Torah growth, with advancement tracks and periodic examinations.
The Beit Midrash is one big family, where every avrech supports and encourages his fellow in the path of learning.
